Camilla Parker-Bowles Talks About Prince Philip And The Part Of Royal Life That Makes Her Nervous
The Royals spoilers and updates tease that Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, opened up about her relationship with her father-in-law, Prince Philip. She also talked about the one thing about royal life that still makes her nervous.
Camilla, Prince Charles’ wife, is turning 75 years old this month. The Duchess of Cornwall spends some time with Juliet Rieden of The Australian Women’s Weekly to talk about her childhood and her future as the Queen Consort. Camilla also talked about her relationship with Prince Philip, who died at the age of 99 years old in April 2021.
The Duchess had good things to say about Prince Philip. She said that “the Duke of Edinburgh was always a very good ear.”
“He was a role model to me and a very good person to take advice from because he always told me what he thought,” he added.
Prince Philip gave Camilla a good idea of what her role would be once she becomes Queen Consort to Prince Charles once he becomes monarch.
The Part Of Royal Life That Leaves Her Nervous
Being part of the royal family isn’t easy and that also applies to the Duchess of Cornwall. Camilla admitted that if there’s one thing that makes her feel nervous, it’s definitely “making speeches.” She may be a part of the royals for decades now but this part still petrifies her.
Camilla Appears On The Cover of Country Life
The Duchess of Cornwall posed for the cover of this month’s issue of Country Life magazine for her 75th birthday. Camilla specifically asked Kate Middleton to take her photos as she posed in the garden of her private Wiltshire home. In the picture, she can be seen sitting on a wooden bench while holding a basket of pelargoniums.
Camilla guest-edited the magazine to mark her special day and to celebrate the publication’s 125th anniversary.
Mark Hedges, Country Life’s Editor in Chief said they’re “thrilled to have our Guest Editor captured so magnificently by royal photographer The Duchess of Cambridge.”
He added that they’re honored to be the first to publish the first formal portrait of Camilla that was taken by Kate Middleton.
“The photographs are superb and we would be delighted to offer The Duchess of Cambridge another commission!” Hedges added.
