Duchess of Cornwall’s Rare Interview Highlights Marriage To Prince Charles
The Royals news and updates tease that the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, opened up about her relationship with Prince Charles. In a rare candid interview with British Vogue, the royal talked about her personal and professional life.
A Unique Way Of Catching Up
Camilla, who is set to celebrate her 75th birthday in July, shared things about her busy work schedule and her relationship with her 73-year-old husband, Prince Charles. She and her husband play catch-up whenever they have time. Although it’s not easy at times, they make it a point to meet sometime every day.
When they do, they sit down and discuss what they’ve been up to while having a cup of tea. But this doesn’t mean they have to talk to each other the whole time. There are instances when they “just sit and be together.” They’re satisfied to know that they don’t have to make a conversation all the time. They can just sit and read their books in different corners of their room.
Camilla and the Media
Camilla also admitted that she struggled with all the media scrutiny which she had to endure.
“I was scrutinized for such a long time that you just have to find a way to live with it,” she explained.
“Nobody likes to be looked at all the time and, you know, criticized,” she added.
“But I think in the end, I sort of rise above it and get on with it. You’ve got to get on with life,” she continued.
Prince Charles and Camilla’s Love Story
Prince Charles and Camilla first met back in 1970 at a polo match. They shared that instant connection and remained close friends. Back then, Prince Charles was married to Princess Diana and Camilla to Andrew Parker-Bowles.
Prince Charles and Camilla’s affair came to light back in 1992. Shortly after, Camilla and Andrew got divorced in 1995, while Prince Charles and Diana followed suit in 1996. In 1998, Prince William and Prince Harry were introduced to Camilla. Fast forward to 2000, the Queen joined Prince Charles and Camilla for lunch, which meant she approved of their relationship. The couple then got married in 2005.
Ever since she’s been with Prince Charles, Camilla has advocated for the victims of domestic abuse. She also made sure that she offered her full support to her husband. Earlier this year, Queen Elizabeth II acknowledged Camilla’s “loyal service” and requested her to be the queen’s consort when Prince Charles ascended to the throne. The queen consort is a title given to the king’s spouse.
The Queen publicly addressed Camilla’s role as the next monarch for the first time in a letter that was published for her Platinum Jubilee. This answers the questions of the public as to what role Camilla will take on once Prince Charles becomes king.

LIke Princess Diana said, there were 3 people in her marriage, Camella being the 3rd. Messing up a marriage is far from dignified and proper. I think Camella has quite THE NERVE messing with Prince Charles’s marriage. She could have turned down the Prince if he insisted. I can’t stand her.
