Prince William’s £10 million environmental awards is coming to… Singapore! After months of speculation on where the third annual Earthshot event will take place, Earthshot Prize shared the news on Sunday, May 14. And believe me, Earthshot Prize is getting more exciting this time round.

Prince William Says Earthshot Prize Shows the World that Solutions To Our Problems Are Out There

Prince William’s environmental project will hold their third annual Gala night in Singapore on Tuesday, November 7. In the lead up to November 7, a week’s worth of activities focused on raising awareness to the problems the environment faces and the answers to them will take place. Called the Earthshot Week, it will be the first time that the Prize has put on something as extensive as a whole week of events.

Prince William, 40, said in a statement: “The Earthshot Prize is all about showing the world that solutions to some of the biggest environmental challenges we face are out there. After two years of discovering impactful ideas and innovations, I am delighted that The Earthshot Prize is traveling to Singapore, where the groundbreaking solutions of our 2023 Finalists will be celebrated.”

Earthshot Prize Reveals Why Singapore Is Their Next Stop To Host the Prestigious Environmental Awards

As one of the most prestigious environmental awards out there, Earthshot Prize has grown to become a highly anticipated event that showcases the best in human solutions to the problems we pose to the environment. These solutions will clean the air, protect and restore nature, revive our oceans, build a waste-free world, and fix our climate.

In its third year, and third continent so far, Earthshot Prize decided to share the reasons why “Southeast Asia is the perfect place to celebrate our innovators and their extraordinary solutions.”

The first reason is that Southeast Asia has grown to become a global powerhouse for innovation, attracting start-ups and tech companies. “And as a gateway to the region, Singapore is combining capital and human ingenuity to tackle the toughest environmental challenges,” the statement reads.
