Inside the Life of Princess Charlotte’s Country Childhood
Princess Charlotte’s country childhood is one that she will hopefully remember with fond memories. At least that’s what her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton are hoping as they are raising both Charlotte and her brother Prince George to love the great outdoors.
People Magazine says that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are raising their children with very little help from their royal staff inside their home at Anmer Hall in Norfolk. It has 10 bedrooms, as well as a swimming pool, a tennis court and plenty of space for Prince George and Princess Charlotte to run in all day long.
While they definitely do rely on help from their nanny Maria Turrion Borrallo, royal insiders tell the publication that often times it’s just William, Kate, George and Charlotte at home by themselves.
And here’s the best part: little Princess Charlotte, who just turned 2 in May, is already the ruler of their household. She loves taking country walks with her mother Kate, playing outside with her brother George, and of course, watch episodes of Peppa Pig before bedtime. In other words, she is enjoying a great childhood in the open country.
In fact, one insider even dished, “You’d think that Kate and William would have an army of staff to help them out, but no. The children have good fun together. They are brilliant kids – very playful and cheerful.”
What’s more, Princess Charlotte’s mother Kate Middleton has made it pretty clear that she wants her children to live normal lives like many other kids their age. That’s why she’s doing whatever she can to raise them to be both down-to-earth and caring citizens and members of the British royal family. Princess Charlotte and her brother Prince George might be members of the monarchy, but at the same time they also get to play in the mud, chase chickens and spend blissful summer afternoons running around in their country’s family farm, too. In other words, they are growing up to love and appreciate the great outdoors, just like their great grandmother Queen Elizabeth and grandfather Prince Charles do, too.
