Where Do Kate Middleton And Prince William Stay In London?
Ah, life in a palace!
While Prince William may have grown up taking it for granted, Kate Middleton probably never dreamed that she’d one day see that fairy tale turned into reality.
But now the Duchess of Cambridge and Duke of Cambridge reside at Kensington Palace in London, per Hello.
And that spacious residence offers plenty of options.
For instance, Prince William and Princess Kate, as some call the Duchess, could choose to sleep upstairs.
However, the downstairs of their living area in the Palace also contains bedrooms.
And that brings us to the unexpected aspect of their living arrangement.
What’s Unique About Kate’s And William’s Sleeping Arrangements?
Architects and interior designers tend to create homes with the master bedrooms upstairs.
But rather than sleep upstairs, Kate Middleton and Prince William chose to have their bedrooms on the ground floor.
And that leaves the upper floors of Kensington Palace free for their staff.
We’re not sure where the Duchess of Cambridge and Duke of Cambridge’s three children sleep.
But given their young ages, we’re guessing that one or more of the little royal youngsters occasionally sneak into mummy and daddy’s room with a need to get comforted from bad dreams or soothed with a drink of water!
Who Lives Inside The Palace With Kate, William, And Their Children?
Given their royal duties, Kate Middleton and Prince William do need a nanny.
And that brings us to royal nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo.
Nanny Maria works full-time for the Duke of Cambridge and Duchess of Cambridge, devoted to taking care of the couple’s offspring three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Add in typical staff such as a chef and housekeeper, and we can assume that the upper levels devoted to the staff stay full!
What Does Life Instead Kate’s And William’s Palace Look Like?
Although members of the public don’t get to tour the Duchess of Cambridge and Duke of Cambridge’s Palace, we do know about certain aspects of their royal home.
For instance, the royal couple shared photos when President Obama and his First Lady visited them in the Palace.
Antique items, golden accessories, and floral furniture stood out as typical of royal homes’ decor.
But here’s an unexpected twist.
Kate Middleton chose to decorate her children’s bedroom with standard IKEA furniture!
Thought to ensure durability, the IKEA furniture tradition for Kate’s royal kids began with Prince George.
And Princess Kate then continued to make that same choice for her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and youngest son, Prince Louis.
