Kate Middleton and Prince William’s “Seamless” Transition To Being Prince and Princess of Wales
The Royals news and updates tease that Kate Middleton and Prince William have seamlessly transitioned from being the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to become the new Prince and Princess of Wales.
Royal biographer Katie Nicholl said the royal couple has remained true to their interests and causes. Both Kate and Prince William have “stepped up to the plate” following the death of the late monarch, Queen Elizabeth.
The New Prince and Princess of Wales
It’s been five weeks since her majesty’s passing, and the royal couple has managed to take on their new roles with grace.
“William’s years of being mentored by his grandmother and his father have really paid off because the transition to Prince of Wales has been seamless,” Nicholl said.
“Kate has also effortlessly moved into a role with so much weight and history and is already making it her own,” added the author of The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown.
Nichols added that Prince William and Kate made their first visit to Wales after the royal mourning ended. They wanted to pay their respect to the Welsh people, and they received a warm welcome from the community.
The royal couple wanted to build a close relationship with the people of Wales immediately, which reflects the royal image they wanted to project.
But Prince William and Kate’s key interests will continue. They will continue to advocate causes they believe in even though they have taken on new titles and more senior roles.
As for Prince William’s relationship with King Charles III, Nichols said that they’re working more closely and they “speak on the phone most days.”
“They are very aligned in their vision of the future of the monarchy and united over the notion of sovereignty, as one of my contacts told me,” she added.
Prince William and Kate Takes A Break From Public Engagement
Prince William and Kate will be off over the next few days and won’t make any public appearances this week. The royal couple’s kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are off from classes. They’re currently taking a break to spend time with their children. After that, their kids will return to school at Lambrook to celebrate Halloween. The royal children enrolled at Lambrook as new pupils on September 8, the day their great-grandmother died.
