Royal Family news reveals that, according to Chronicle Live, the Princess of Wales caught the eye of jewelry experts when she wore a citrine necklace to a royal event. They claim the citrine pendant that dangled from her necklace bore a “hidden meaning,”, especially in light of the royal drama her brother-in-law has stirred up with his explosive memoir (via Express UK).
Catherine stayed busy last week, hosting a reception at Hampton Court for England’s Wheelchair Rugby League team, to help celebrate the team’s victory, in November, against France in the World Cup. The event went down less than two weeks after Prince Harry’s book “Spare” hit shelves and his bombshell ITV interview aired.

The worldwide media attention surrounding “Spare” came not long after the Netflix series “Harry & Meghan” painted the Princess of Wales as “cold” with Meghan saying of their first meeting, “When Will and Kate came over, and I met her for the first time, they came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans, and I was barefoot. I was a hugger. I’ve always been a hugger; I didn’t realize that that is really jarring for a lot of Brits.”
However, at this particular event, Kate was reportedly the picture of taste and elegance as she appeared at the rugby event dressed in a custom-made burgundy suit created by French-designed Roland Mouret. She last wore the outfit for her and Prince William’s Boston visit in December of last year (via PEOPLE).

However, it was the princess’s necklace that drew the attention of jewelry experts and royal fans alike. The item — identified as a $1,017.94 Gold Citrine Baby Treasure Necklace by Daniella Draper — was said to have had a hidden meaning.
Maxwell Stone who is the creative director at UK retailer Seven Stone described the citrine stone as “a quartz variation that comes in hues ranging from yellow to brown.” He called the pendant a “symbolic choice by the Princess” adding that the color yellow has long been associated with “positivity and optimism.”
Stone continued, “Adding to the symbolic nature of the piece, citrine is said to assist in manifesting your biggest dreams, bringing in more success and prosperity. Citrine is also said to be the perfect ally for realigning your energies back into balance after a period of stress, so it’s possible that the necklace is a nod to the stress that the royal family has evidently been under due to the recent release of Prince Harry’s memoir.”
