Kate Middleton Invites Family Nanny On This Occasion

For the Duchess of Cambridge, a half-term school holiday means an opportunity for family fun. But with three young children, that holiday also involves keeping the youngsters out of mischief! As a result, Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William reportedly invited the children’s nanny to join them on holiday, per the Express.

Royal family observers saw Kate and William at the airport with 8-year-old Prince George, 6-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 3-year-old Prince Louis. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, joined the gathering.

Standing outside the Windsor Suite at Heathrow airport with piles of suitcases, the royal parents, kids, and nanny did not reveal their destination. But this holiday abroad marks only the second time that the entire family has left the UK since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

What’s Involved In Serving As Nanny To Royalty?

For those wondering why Kate decided to invite the nanny to travel on this special occasion, consider what’s involved in caring for three young kids. George, Charlotte, and Louis bear impressive titles. But at ages 3 through 8, they believe fun outweighs living up to royal etiquette!

The half-term lasts until October 29 for Charlotte and George, who study at the same school. Nanny Borrallo has supervised the little ones since 2014. Kate recruited the nanny from the highly regarded Norland College in Bath.

And this holiday outing just marks one of the many occasions on which the Duchess of Cambridge decided to include the nanny in family events. For instance, Nanny Borrallo attended the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. Throughout the ceremony, the nanny oversaw all the youthful pageboys and bridesmaids to make sure they behaved properly.

The royal nanny already had earned her place in the family when Kate Middleton welcomed her youngest son Prince Louis into the world, reports Town And Country. As a result of Kate’s trust, the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t even hire extra staff for baby Louis.

During the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch, royal family insiders spotted Nanny Borrallo taking charge of Prince George and Princess Charlotte. And she even extends her work to other children at royal events. For instance, when one of the little bridesmaids at Meghan Markle’s wedding started to experience a meltdown, the royal nanny quickly and quietly rushed to comfort her.
