Royal news and updates reveal that Kate Middleton recently released a promotional clip. However, not all were a fan of Kate’s gesture, and some even say that the video was so fake.
Following Queen Elizabeth’s death, the remaining royal family members appear to be reunited. But things are bound to be different after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries.
For those who didn’t know, the late monarch gave her first Christmas message 10 months after ascending the throne in 1957. Her Christmas greeting was broadcasted live on the radio from her study at Sandringham.
Since 1960, the queen had no longer delivered her speech live. It was pre recorded before the holidays. In 1962, the queen’s remarks were videotaped for the first time. In 1969, she wrote a letter that was later published in the newspaper. This has been going on through Christmas 2021. Now that King Charles III has ascended to the throne, his majesty will deliver his first message in 2022 and follow his mother’s tradition.
The Prince and Princess of Wales released a video of Kate where she can be seen trimming a tree. It aims to promote the involvement of the royal family in the second annual carol service called Together At Christmas.
But instead of showing unity and goodwill, some people weren’t happy with the short clip. Royal fans took to Twitter to call her out and expressed their unhappiness with the promotional video shoot.
“Amazing. I had no idea that Christmas existed until the Windsor marketing team put out this vomit-inducing piffle. Struggling British taxpayers will be overjoyed,” one Twitter user wrote.
“I feel sick. The royals are decorating a Christmas tree but cannot even put toothpaste on their toothbrushes. Irrelevant, outdated, and should be abolished,” another user added.
The Royal Family’s Carol Service
The King, The Queen Consort, and other members of the royal family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, will join the Together At Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey. Kate Middleton is spearheading the event, funded by The Royal Foundation.
Together At Christmas will be aired on ITV1 on Christmas Eve as part of the Royal Carols: Together At Christmas, a special program that’ll be narrated by Catherine Zeta-Jones. Additional content will also be broadcasted, including an introduction from Kate Middleton.
