Kate Middleton’s Mom Gets Ready For Christmas
Carole Middleton will not be outdone by the Queen in planning a grand Christmas for her family. Yes, the Queen has a castle, staff, and a great many Christmases under her belt, but Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’s maternal grandmother is all for the planning and the build-up to Christmas day. She even lets her grandchildren decorate the Christmas tree.
Carole Middleton Opens Up about Planning Christmas for Family
The Duchess of Cambridge’s mom, like the Queen, is planning to bring some magic, happiness and most of all, family time, to the season.
Carole Middleton’s company Party Pieces shared a festive snap of Carole Middleton on Tuesday.
The sweet picture was accompanied by a statement written by the mom-of-three that read: “And so the Christmas countdown begins! If, like me, you enjoy the build-up to Christmas as much as the day itself, you’ll love browsing our collection of decorations and tableware.”
Carole continued, “I always throw myself into the planning, and it has been a pleasure to pick out some party pieces which will help you make Christmas particularly festive for your loved ones this year. December will be magic again!”
The Duchess’ mom, who shared the Christmas pics on Nov. 9, was photographed by Liz Mcaulay surrounded by balloons while wearing an ivory pussy-bow blouse teamed with denim bottoms.
Planning Christmas has always been one of the most special things for Carole during the festive season. But she definitely does not do all the decorating by herself, she lets her grandchildren learn the ropes by letting them pitch in.
In a 2020 Party Pieces post, Carole said: “Children get sweetly excited by the idea that Father Christmas is coming, and really want to give him something – and he’ll really appreciate our new Christmas Eve sets and boxes.”
Carole, who welcomed her fifth grandchild this year, chatted with the Telegraph regarding how she always gets as many Christmas trees as possible, as long as there’s space to cram them into her house. Specifically, she loves to have a tree in each of her grandchildren’s rooms “so that they can decorate it themselves.”
Last year, Carole revealed that she usually lets her grandchildren lend a hand in decorating the Christmas tree, but the pandemic forced her to video call them instead in order to get their ideas for the tree decoration.
Another person excited about Christmas is the Queen, who is personally supervising the preparations leading off to the grand family get-together. She flew into her Sandringham Estate last week on a helicopter amid her medical team’s advice for her to rest.
The 95-year-old reportedly wants to end the tumultuous year surrounded by her loved ones. But with the amount of grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she has, it’s hard to imagine the atmosphere quite so peaceful or formal.
