Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Docuseries Is Slated For A December Release

This Christmas is going to be fun for fans of Meghan and Harry, as more details about the couple’s life and philanthropy will be explored in their upcoming docuseries.

If you’ve been looking forward to knowing more about what an average day looks like for the couple, then this holiday season will be the answer to your wishes.

Netflix has announced that the docuseries will start unveiling starting this December. However, a working title for the project is yet to be announced.

What Will Meghan and Harry’s Docuseries Be About?

A lot has been, and has not been, said about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming docuseries. For example, some speculate that it will be a “Kardashian-style” reality show, while others believe it will focus more on their philanthropic works and the awards they receive for them.

There’s very little hope that the couple’s young children: Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, will be making an appearance in the series.

There’s also speculations that this docuseries serves as a replacement to Harry’s previously proposed idea to do a documentary exploring the Invictus Games.

For a long time, the Netflix docuseries was purely speculations from media sources, unconfirmed by either Netflix or the Sussex couple. In fact, a spokesperson for the couple had at one time denied that the couple were working on an at-home docuseries for Netflix.

However, during her cover story interview with Variety, the 41-year-old put all doubts to rest when she confirmed that she and husband Harry were indeed working on something with Netflix, which is being directed by Oscar-nominated Liz Garbus.

Meghan Markle On Her Husband’s Inexperience With the Entertainment Industry

In September 2020, the former American actress and her British husband secured a very lucrative deal with Netflix. At the time, the New York Times reported that the couple’s production arm, Archewell Productions, would exclusively create documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming for the popular platform.

“It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story — a seasoned director whose work I’ve long admired — even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it,” Meghan said of working with Garbus. “But that’s not why we’re telling it. We’re trusting our story to someone else, and that means it will go through their lens.”
“It’s interesting. My husband has never worked in this industry before,” she continued, speaking on her husband’s basic understanding of the entertainment business. “For me, having worked on Suits, it’s so amazing to be around so much creative energy and to see how people work together and share their own points of view. That’s been really fun.”
