Mike Tindall Is the Perfect Husband And Royal As He Embarks On A Reality TV Show
Mike Tindall, known for stealing his wife’s colorful hats on occasions and rocking them, is set to become the first royal to appear on the reality TV show “I’m A Celeb”. Formerly a celebrated sportsman before marrying the Queen’s granddaughter, Mike still keeps up with the rugby world through his popular podcast, “The Good, The Bad, & The Rugby”.
Here’s what the royal had to say about the rumors claiming that he took permission from the Crown to appear on the reality television series.
Mike Tindall Refuses To Answer Question About Needing Royal Permission To Appear On “I’m A Celeb”
The 44-year-old former England rugby player has flown to Australia to be a part of the long-running TV program, “I’m A Celeb”, which will kick off this week.
As a member of the Royal Family, rumors swirled when it was revealed that the former sportsman planned to appear on reality television, with some speculating that he received permission from the Royal Family in order to go ahead.
However, when he was asked about whether he sought “permission from certain members of the Royal Household” when he landed at Brisbane Airport, Australia, he said: “It’s not something I need to tell you though is it.”
When asked how his wife felt about the show, Mike said: “She is fine, otherwise I wouldn’t have done it would I?
“I was always on the fence but I do think it will be good fun at the end of the day.”
“It’s probably one of the longest times we’ve been away completely with no communication. When you go away you still have communication, so that’s obviously going to be the hardest bit.
“You’ve just got to get your head around doing what you’re doing and try and win some stars and stuff and see where you go from there. I want to win stars because I want to eat!
“The hanger is always going to be the biggest thing you have got to worry about but I’ve also got three kids, so dealing with lack of sleep comes with the territory.”
What Mike Tindall Thinks Of Being “King Of the Jungle” Ahead Of King Charles’ Coronation
When asked what he thought of winning in this round of the show, which would automatically make him “King of the Jungle”, he honestly replied that he’s “not really thinking about that”.
He also added that he has no idea whether Prince William and Harry would be supporting him by tuning in to watch him face Bushtucker Trials.
Mike joins other stars, including radio DJ Chris Moyles and Love Island’s Olivia Attwood, on the Gold Coast, who are ready to meet Ant and Dec.
This is also not Mike Tindall’s first stint in reality television, as the proud dad has been on Channel 4’s The Jump and Bear Grylls’ Mission Survive in 2015.
As for Mike, he “just does things” he “thinks will be fun”.
