Prince Andrew Forces Prince William and Kate to Speed Up Plans to Move Closer To Queen
It’s becoming clear that Prince Andrew is using his close proximity to the Queen to try and take center roles in royal family events. The Duke of York re-entered the public eye in a surprising manner when he escorted the Queen to Westminster Abbey for her late husband’s memorial. A few days after that, he used his wife’s Instagram account to tell the story of his role in the Falklands War and to admonish leaders about the stupidity of war, calling war a “failure”.
Following the backlash aimed at the shamed royal for taking center stage at such an important event — a mere weeks after he settled his accuser Giuffre out of court –– Daily Mail reported that he is looking forward to accompanying his mother to the Derby for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
A royal expert claimed that Prince Charles and William are looking for ways to undercut Andrew’s plans. One of those ways could be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge moving closer to the Queen.
Prince William and Kate Middleton to Move Closer to the Queen ASAP
Since last year, rumors of the Cambridges moving closer to the monarch have been regularly occuring, but it seems that, after the trick Andrew pulled, they’ve moved up their plans and would be moving this summer!
They are reportedly looking at private rooms in the area due to properties in the royal collection being in use already.
The move will ensure that Andrew isn’t the only senior royal to live next door to the 95-year-old Queen. “He lives next door and is always there for her. During the Covid lockdown, the family were glad Andrew was always on hand,” a source tells The Sun. “There is not a man, woman or child who would not say he had every right to be at Philip’s thanksgiving.
But the family have been adamant there’s no way back. There are real fears that despite being banished from The Firm in January, he is using his closeness to the Queen as a springboard back into public life.”
Prince William and Kate formerly “checked out” the Royal Lodge where Andrew currently lives, but the 62-year-old would “not budge”. No one knows yet where the Cambridges, whose official office is Kensington Palace, will end up when they move, but we’ll be updating you on that.
