Prince Andrew Is Not Happy He Didn’t Receive Any Inheritance From His Late Mother, Queen Elizabeth
Prince Andrew is reportedly “in despair” after he did not receive anything from his late mother’s enormous wealth and he’s “complaining” about it.
Prince Andrew Left Out Of Queen Elizabeth’s Fortune Following His Disastrous Fall From Grace
Before Virginia Giuffre’s accusations of assault at the hands of the 63-year-old Duke, Andrew was often referred to as the Queen’s favorite child. Even though his wild youthful days and his affairs with numerous women – most notably the red-headed ones – were very much documented, they were nothing compared to the damage his association with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell did to his reputation.
In 2020, shortly after his disastrous Newsnight interview, Andrew announced that he would be stepping down from his royal duties, but it wasn’t until earlier last year that he permanently withdrew from public life. He also lost his military titles following his multi-million dollar settlement of Giuffre.
Worth £650 million, the late Queen reportedly passed on her welath to her eldest son and heir, King Charles, who is not legally required to pay tax on it, and per The Sun On Sunday, he is yet to give any to his siblings.
This is particularly a blow to Andrew, who lost his security detail sometime in 2022 and is now pressured to vacate his Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. Part of the reason he is being asked to leave is because he no longer has the funds to maintain the 31-room, £30million grace-and-favour mansion, but mostly it’s because King Charles has other plans for the stately home.
A friend of Andrew told The Sun: “I gather he’s checked it out and there’s no will. He’s in despair. He’s a member of the family, for God’s sake. What’s he meant to do? Go cap in hand to his older brother to keep a roof over his head?”
While rumors say that Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, 59, share some resentment at not inheriting anything from the Queen, they’re both still benefiting from the Sovereign Grants.
Anne owns 700-acre Gatcombe Park in the Cotswolds while Edward, named Duke of Edinburgh last week, has a 150-year lease on Bagshot Park in Surrey.
