Prince Harry Shares Progress as BetterUp’s Chief Impact Officer
Prince Harry has been sharing his progress as the Chief Impact Officer of the personal coach app company called BetterUp. He’s been very involved with the company and his work has started to connect back to the communities that helped him become the man he is today.
The Duke of Sussex has shared his goals for his role in the company in a new blog, that’s been released on the company’s website. The post was co-authored by co-founders Alexi Robichaux and Eduardo Medina.
They started off the article with the announcement that they have decided to join the Pledge 1% movement and donate 1% of the company’s equity, profit, product, and staff time back to its employees’ communities.
“Social impact is not some buzzword, secondary goal, or silo at the edges of our business — it’s intrinsic to the work we do here at BetterUp. Our success as an organization is deeply dependent on the positive social change we can make in this world,” Prince Harry explained in the post.
The Duke of Sussex highlighted that training for mental fitness is as important as training for physical well-being. He made it clear that it’s crucial to have a support system to help people and the community achieve their peak performance.
BetterUp’s Primary Goal
Prince Harry shared that BetterUp’s products aim to help veterans and active military members as well as first responders. These are the part of the community that the company wants to employ as it grows.
He explained that now is the time to support the military community. Aside from that, people should learn from them especially when it comes to preparing for the unknown, taking care of one another, and building connections with different kinds of people.
BetterUp Works With The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust
BetterUp has also worked with the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust earlier this year on a project that involved giving 1,000 inspired young leaders across the Commonwealth the tools they can use to improve their resilience and mental fitness, as well as help accelerate their positive impact on the world.
The company’s ambition is to improve the human condition, to live in a world where everybody has access to the support system they need to thrive professionally and personally. BetterUp has high hopes for their work with the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and with the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.
