Prince Harry's Trauma Has Directed Prince William and Kate Middleton On How To Raise Their Children Away From the Spotlight

Prince Harry has been pretty much outspoken about how being in the public eye at a young age caused him trauma, especially the one where he walked behind the coffin of his mother while the whole world watched. Even though Prince William and Kate Middleton have always said that they want their children to have a quiet life away from the public eye, it’s been said that Harry’s accounts have made them extra careful about the events their children can take part in.

According to a source, the royal parents of three are wary about the type of role their 9-year-old son Prince George will have during King Charles’ coronation.

King Charles wants Prince William and Kate’s children to take part

While it’s rare to see the Waleses children attend an official function, they certainly have made a few appearances during public events. However, King Charles wants Prince William and Kate’s children to take part in the procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace on May 6, especially the heir Prince George.

“it’s almost an echo of the way William and Harry were sometimes made to attend formal occasions that they shouldn’t have been made to attend—most famously, the funeral of their mother, and walking behind her coffin at their age,” Tom Quinn told the Daily Express. “A lot of people criticized that and said that it was a horrible thing to make two boys that young, and especially Harry, do.

George won’t be the first young royal to attend the coronation

So I think people are remembering this and thinking ‘Well, hang on a minute, if George is some sort of a pageboy, or has a similar role at the Coronation, is that going back too far towards the traditional roles?’ So I’ve heard that there is a debate going on quite fiercely at the moment about how to do that. And, as far as I’ve heard, it hasn’t been decided yet.”

However, George won’t be the first young royal to attend the coronation, as his grandfather, King Charles, was only 4 when the late Queen Elizabeth was crowned in 1953.
