Prince Harry’s Upcoming Memoir Reportedly Sparks Discussions Within the Royal Family
Amid Harry’s security concerns, his father Prince Charles has invited him and his family to stay with him. If it all goes well, this would be the Sussexes first time in the U.K. as a family after they welcomed Lilibet last year.
According to royal insiders, the talk of Harry’s bombshell memoir weighs heavily on the minds of royals more than Prince Andrew’s upcoming appearance in an NYC court.
Prince Charles Offers Harry the Perfect Olive Branch to Keep the Latter from Attacking Camilla in His Book
Prince Harry’s memoir, which he promised will be a truthful account of his life so far, will be dropping later this year. There are speculations that the book will possibly attack various members of the royal family, most especially Harry’s stepmother Camilla.
This wouldn’t be the first for Harry when it comes to publicly attacking his family, as he accused his father of causing “generational pain” during a podcast last year. In a more subtle manner, he also shaded Her Majesty and implied she lacked parental empathy when it comes to the way she raised her children.
Now, Harry is working on his first memoir, and if he wants it to make an impact, he’d have to deliver. This means he might possibly take down some people on his road to telling his life’s story.
Privately, like the rest of us, Prince Charles is said to be worried that Harry might drop Camilla into hot water, thereby humiliating her publicly.
Recently, it was revealed that he reached out to the Montecito-based couple to invite them to stay with him ahead of the Platinum Jubilee.
A source shared: “Forget the Prince Andrew saga, the main topic of discussion at Clarence House is Harry’s book — and the reputational damage it could very well do.
“There are concerns about Harry’s recollections of Camilla’s entry into the Royal Family, and how her long-running romance with Charles damaged him from a young age.”
The insider revealed that Harry still hasn’t gotten over the way Camilla swept into the family to take his mother’s place a few years after her death. “Harry is fiercely loyal and protective of his late mother and her legacy, and didn’t approve of Camilla sweeping in as the great love of his father’s life.
Prince Harry Could Blame Camilla as the Cause of His Childhood “Traumas”
The royal insider said that the point that might hit home in Harry’s memoir would be the 37-year-old accusing his stepmother of causing him trauma and pain.
“Understandably he found those early years incredibly difficult, and he might publicly blame Camilla for much of what he believes went wrong in his childhood, and the trauma the whole situation caused.”
However, Charles is not having the drama, especially at a time that should be about celebrating the Queen’s historic life and service to the country.
“Charles is deeply protective of Camilla. The last thing he needs — especially in a year of celebration that should be all about the Queen — is an excoriating takedown of Camilla at a time when people have finally taken her to their hearts.”
