Royal Family News: Prince Harry Spills Tea

Royal Family news reveals that, according to Us Weekly, the 40-year-old Prince of Wales “has made no effort to speak to Harry” following the release of Spare in January. The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex rocked the royal boat after publishing his first memoir which revealed previously unknown details about his relationship with his older brother and their father, King Charles III.

In one part of the memoir, Harry claimed that William and Princess Kate were the ones who led him to wear the Nazi uniform that caused major backlash following a costume party in 2005. Further on in Spare, the duke recalled a fight he and William had over Meghan Markle in 2019.

Royals Remain Officially Silent, Prince William Wants to Move On

Other senior members of the Royal Family, including William and the 72-year-old King, have remained silent amid Spare’s revelations with William ignoring reporters’ questions about the book during his joint appearance with his wife Kate Middleton in January (via PEOPLE). A source says, however, that William is growing ever wearier of his younger brother.

“William feels that Harry is all smoke and mirrors and is not to be trusted. He’s trying to move on with his life,” the source said, adding that “there has been a massive breach of trust” with the leaking of certain stories.

Prince Harry Gets Candid in interviews

Tensions between the brothers were compounded when Harry and Meghan, 41, announced, in January 2020, that they planned to step down as working royals. Later that year, the Sussexes — who share son Archie,3, and 19-month-old daughter Lilibet — moved across the pond to Meghan’s home state of California.

Prior to the release of Spare, Harry sat down for several frank interviews to delve into the drama. While talking with ITV’s Tom Brady, the Archewell Foundation founder discussed the heated altercation he had with his brother.

Prince Harry Claims Mom Would be Sad

“What was different here was this level of frustration, and I talk about the ‘red mist’ that I had for so many years — and I saw this ‘red mist’ in him,” Harry claimed in the January 8 interview. “He wanted me to hit him back, but I chose not to.”

In a conversation with Good Morning America, a day later, Harry opined on how his late mother, Princess Diana, would react to his strained relationship with the Prince of Wales. “I think she would be sad,” he said. “I think she’d be looking at it long-term to know that there are certain things that we need to go through to be able to heal the relationship.”

Prince Harry Doesn’t Recognize His Brother or Father

Despite their tension, Harry still hopes to reconcile with his loved ones across the pond. “Forgiveness is 100 percent a possibility because I would like to get my father back. I would like to have my brother back,” he said on ITV. “At the moment, I don’t recognize them, as much as they probably don’t recognize me.”
