Princess Diana’s Brother Unveils Christmas Tree Rivaling the Queen’s 20-feet MarvelCharles Spencer recently unveiled his Christmas tree and it is tall enough to knock the Queen’s own down a peg or three. Christmas at Althorp House is officially in full swing.

Althorp House’s Christmas Tree Stands Taller than Windsor’s

Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, who lives at Diana’s childhood home of Althorp House, unveiled the magnificent tree on Monday to the delight of his fans on Instagram. The 23-foot wonder is actually a real Christmas tree grown at the estate for this very purpose.

The “green giant” was decorated with white lights and red baubles, and stood as the highlight of a room filled with antique paintings in decadent gold frames.

The room also features a mezzanine balcony, a luxury marble fireplace and high ceilings which adds to the overall grandeur. Two velour chairs were left displayed by the side of the tree.

The Earl detailed the origins of the tree in his caption, also wishing his fans well ahead of the holidays: “This 23-foot tree was grown on the Estate at @althorphouse specifically for this task – holding together the Saloon (central hallway) in the run up to Christmas, and into the New Year. Wishing you all a happy and healthy Christmas and 2022.”

Needless to say, lots of fans showed the tree some love. “Splendid. Only word for it,” a fan wrote. “Magnifique,” another added. “Beautiful… Happy Christmas to you all & here’s hoping we have a much better 2022 xxxx,” another enthused.

The Queen’s Windsor Castle Christmas Tree stands a stunning 20 feet high and is set as the centerpiece in St. George’s Hall. The tree, which took over 13 hours and dozens of staff to complete, was unveiled late November. Like the Earl’s, the Queen’s is a real tree grown in Windsor Great Park.

In case you can’t wrap your head around how tall a 20-foot tree is, it is more than 2.5 times as tall as the tallest living man on Earth. Prince Charles’ Christmas tree is said to be even taller, and is decorated with twinkling fairy lights and silver tinsel.
