Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice Post Tribute To Their Late Grandmother

The royal family news and updates tease that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice posted a tribute to their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The sisters shared a statement about the late monarch, whom they referred to as “Grannie” on Princess Eugenie’s Instagram account last Saturday.

The sisters’ statement started with “Our dearest Grannie.”

“We’ve not been able to put much into words since you left us all. There have been tears and laughter, silences and chatter, hugs and loneliness, and a collective loss for you, our beloved Queen and our beloved Grannie,” they wrote.

“We, like many, thought you’d be here forever. And we all miss you terribly,” they added.

Sarah Ferguson Attends Queen Elizabeth’s Funeral

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson attended the late monarch’s funeral. Also known as Fergie, the Duchess of York took part in the funeral proceedings that took place on Monday, although she wasn’t part of the procession.

Sarah divorced the Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, back in 1996. But despite that, she remained close to the royal family and her ex. She was also spotted talking to her majesty and her daughters Prince Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

In a previous interview on the Tea with Twiggy podcast, Fergie referred to the Queen as her “greatest mentor” and the “person who believes in me.”

Fergie’s biological mother, Susan Barrantes, left her when she was a child and married another man, Hector Barrantes, and moved to Argentina. Fergie thought of her mother-in-law as more of a mother to her than her real mom. She admired her flexibility, modernity, and generosity. She also liked her for being forgiving and understanding.

Fergie said in a tweet following the late monarch’s death that she was “the most incredible mother-in-law and friend.” She said she’ll forever be grateful for her generosity and for being close even though she and Prince Andrew already divorced.

The Duke and Duchess of York Adopt The Queen’s Corgis

A source revealed that Fergie and Prince Andrew would be adopting the Queen’s two dogs. The late monarch’s corgis would live with the Duke and the Duchess of York at Royal Lodge. Fergie found the puppies and the Duke gave them as a gift to the Queen.

“I will miss her more than words can express,” she said in her post.
