Royal Family News: Princess Eugenie Expecting in Summer
Royal Family news reveals that, according to Express UK, with the cat already out of the bag, so to speak, a royal expert now claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were likely the “first to know” about Mrs. Jack Brooksbank’s pregnancy.
Princess Eugenie broke the news that she’s expecting the baby this summer to the world via an Instagram post with an image of herself embracing her son as he kissed her baby bump. She captioned the image attributed to her husband Jack with the words, “We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.”
Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie Are Especially Close Says Expert
Since the surprising royal baby announcement, royal expert and editor-in-chief for Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward weighed in on Eugenie’s latest bun in the oven.
“Meghan and Harry are close with Eugenie – and not only has she stayed with them in California, but they have been on holidays together before Harry’s marriage,” Seward said. “If the Sussexes come to the coronation in May, there will be an added incentive to see Eugenie as by then it is doubtful if she will want to travel herself.”
The Mirror reported that Buckingham Palace said that the Royal Family is “delighted” with the news and that August is “very much” anticipating becoming a big brother. The baby will be the 13th in line to the English throne and the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II to be born since she died in September 2022.
New Baby to Be a Pleasant Distraction From ‘Spare’ Fallout
Prince Harry is known to be especially close to his cousin Princess Eugene so it may not surprise royal fans that he would be the first to get the news. In fact, Eugenie is the only royal thus far to have visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their home in California.
Meanwhile, Seward believes that the new edition to the Royal Family will be a pleasant distraction amid the fallout over Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare.” Despite the fact that news recently broke that Harry’s 15-hour-long audiobook reading of the memoir may very well earn him a Grammy.
