Royal Experts Defend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Marriage Amid Backlash
For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it doesn’t rain, it pours. While most people were dissecting and picking Harry and Meghan’s chase story apart, the Daily Telegraph ran an article claiming that Harry frequents a luxury hotel so much that he even has a room set out just for him. And by just for him, we mean no Meghan and kids, even though the hang is said to be two hours from their Montecito mansion. Marriage troubles? These experts think not.
Royal Commentator Calls Harry and Meghan’s Marriage “Completely Authentic” and Without Constraints
It turns out that when Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals, they didn’t only leave behind their royal duties, they left behind the constraints the position puts on their marriage.
Speaking to Betfair Casino, Darren Stanton said of the couple’s marriage: “I think Harry and Meghan’s relationship differs from other members of the Royal Family as they don’t have to stick to royal protocols. Even though Kate and William have developed in terms of showing displays of affection, there are still some protocols senior members of the family must adhere to.”
Harry and Meghan are free in terms of these constraints. “They can pretty much do what they like without having to answer to the King or be conscious of how it’s going to be perceived. This allows them to be completely authentic as a couple.”
Stanton added that “trauma, stress, and major life event” makes a marriage stronger. And since Harry and Meghan have gone through it and survived, it means they’re in it for “the long haul.”
Harry’s Friend Says Harry Found “the One” In Meghan Markle
As the couple celebrated their fifth anniversary, Grant Harrold, a friend of the family, told Slingo how excited he was to see Harry walking down the aisle with “the one” in 2018.
“It feels like yesterday they got married. It’s crazy how much can change over the space of five years,” he said, adding, “I’ve spent much time with Harry – I knew his previous girlfriends, but I’m glad he’s now found ‘the one’. I am very proud of him to this day.”
Harry also recently denied the news that he frequently stays at a luxury hotel without his wife or kids.
