In Royal Family News, according to a royal commentator, being on the palace balcony for Trouping the Colour next month isn’t what matters to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
According to Marie Claire, all the Duke and Duchess of Sussex care about is that their children, Archie and Lilibet, get to see their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II next month at her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Royal Family News: Sussexes ‘Didn’t Ask to Be on The Balcony’
The Queen recently made the decision to exclude non-working members of the Royal Family from the Buckingham Palace balcony during Trouping the Colour. The event opens the 96-year-old’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations next month.
This means that the Sussexes, as well as the Monarch’s disgraced son, Prince Andrew, will be excluded from participating in the moment. Royal commentator Loni Love told E! that “they didn’t ask to be on the balcony, so I think that’s the thing,” adding “I think this is more about Prince Andrew and making sure he’s not on it than Harry and Meghan. They just added Harry and Meghan so it wouldn’t look [like] they snubbed Andrew.
Royal Family News: Duke and Duchess ‘Honored’ to Attend Platinum Jubilee
Shortly after the Queen announced the decision to snub non-working royals the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issues a statement of their own through a spokesperson who said, “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are excited and honored to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children.”
The Jubilee, which begins with Trouping the Colour on June 2, and lasts till the 4th, will also coincide with Harry and Meghan’s second child, and the Queen’s namesake, Lilibet’s birthday. She will be turning one on the weekend she meets her great-grandmother for the first time.

Chatter about the Sussexes attending the Queen’s jubilee next month because following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to visit the Queen for tea on April 14. The prince made the stop en route to attend the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
