Royal Family News: Meghan’s New Interview Called Jaw-Dropping
Royal Family news reveals that in the wake of Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with New York Magazine’s The Cut on Monday, royal reporter for the Daily Express, Richard Palmer took to Twitter to lambast the Sussex.
Page Six reports that, in a tweet pointing to the “jaw-dropping moments” in the interview, Palmer suggested that “tone-deaf Harry and Meghan have learnt no lessons.” One such “jaw-dropping” moment in the revealing interview was when Markle discussed the “structure” of how photos of her children were shared with the public.
Reflecting on N-Word Incident
Markle claims this led the public to sling racial slurs at her when she was still a working member of the Royal Family. The duchess explained that she was expected to give pictures of her son Archie, now three, to the Royal Rota, which is the press pool assigned to the Queen and her line of succession.
“Why would I give the very people that are calling my children the N-word a photo of my child before I can share it with the people that love my child?” she told Davis. “You tell me how that makes sense and then I’ll play that game.”
Driven to Thoughts of Suicide
NAACP Image Award recipient, who is also mom to 1-year-old daughter Lilibet, first addressed the racially slanted media coverage in March 2021 when she sat down with former talk show host Oprah Winfrey for what turned out to be a highly controversial and divisive interview for the Sussex’s and the Royal Family.
At the time Markle told Winfrey that the cyberbullying she had received was “almost unsurvivable” and that it had led the duchess to experience suicidal ideation.
Harry to Never Reveal Identity of N-Word Commenter
The Duchess of Sussex also told Winfrey, 68, that there were “concerns and conversations” within the Royal Family about the color of her son’s skin ahead of his arrival. Harry, who say by Markle’s side in the interview noted that he was “never going to share” who made the comment about his yet-unborn son’s skin color. “I was a bit shocked.”
That individual has since been referred to Prince Charles but a spokesman for the Heir Apparent has insisted that the speculation was “fiction not worth further comment.” Be sure and keep up with this and other stories by returning here often for more Royal Family news and updates.
