Royal Family News – Australian Tour Expected by 2023
Central to the new “slimmed down” version of the Royal Family often discussed; The lives of the Cambridges do not appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Prince William and Kate’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are also gradually being introduced into Royal public life.
Now, according to royal expert and Daily Mirror royal editor, Russell Myers, this particular royal family could soon be headed Down Under, per Express UK. “I definitely think we will see a tour of Australia early next year. And they’ve got to take the children,” Myers said, in an episode of the Daily Mirror’s Pod Save The Queen.
Royal Family News – There is Need for Prince to Visit Australia
Speaking in greater detail Myers went on to explain, “They didn’t go during the Platinum Jubilee year and there’s definitely a republican sentiment growing in Australia; they’ve just appointed a junior minister for the republic. I think this is something that the Cambridges will need to do. And whenever the school holidays are at Easter time, I imagine they will be getting on a plane.”
As Royal watchers may recall, Australian Republicans have been working for decades to unseat the Queen as head of state there.
Royal Family News – Cambridges Moving Closer to Windsor Castle?
According to Express, in recent years the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been taking on more prominent roles within the Monarchy, most recently following the scandal and subsequent stepping down of Prince Andrew as well as the upending exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2020.
It is expected that Prince William and Kate will relocate to Adelaide Cottage nearer to the Queen’s primary residence at Windsor Castle. This is thought to be in service of making the duke more able to assist the Queen, when necessary, as the Queen has been suffering from episodic mobility issues.
