Royal Family News: Does Prince Harry Pose ‘Bigger Problem’ For ‘Frail’ Monarchy Than Prince Andrew?
According to former editor for Vanity Fair, Tina Brown, Prince Harry is a bigger threat to the British monarchy than Prince Andrew does.
Prince Andrew’s damage to The Firm has been “ring-fenced” according to the Royal author yet, she indicated, he has not “enhanced the gravitas of the throne” either, per Newsweek. Continue reading and we’ll tell you how this expert thinks Prince Harry poses a “bigger problem” for the weakened monarchy.
Royal Family News – Blowback from Andrew’s Sex Abuse Scandal
The Duke of York, who made headlines in June after his appearance at the annual Garter Day celebrations was canceled, reportedly by the Queen. Brown explains that Andrew’s sex abuse scandal did nothing to enhance the dignity of the British throne.
The lawsuit was leveled against the prince by Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Guiffre. And, though Andrew has maintained his innocence throughout, he ultimately settled the case with Guiffre out of court, reportedly to the tune of $15 million according to The Guardian. Also notable is that Prince Andrew stepped down as a working royal and relinquished his military titles and patronages earlier this year as a result of the scandal.

However, in terms of the potential damage that either prince could do to the “frail” monarchy, Brown said, “I think Harry is a bit more of a problem because you never quite know what he’s going to do next. He keeps them all on the back foot wondering where the bombs come from.”
Brown’s comments were related to several revelations Prince Harry has had since stepping down as a working royal and moving to California with his wife, Meghan Markle in 2020. The couple sat down with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 for an interview in which they accused an unnamed member of the Royal Family of making racially insensitive comments about the skin color of Sussex’s future children.
Royal Family News – The Duke of Sussex’s Upcoming Memoir, A Bigger Threat
The Duke and Duchess told Winfrey that they didn’t feel they had received any support from the Royal Family household once they brought their struggle with the media to light. Royals fans can still view that interview on Oprah Daily.
Of course, perhaps the bigger potential threat that looms in the future is the publication of Harry’s memoirs which are due to be released towards the end of 2022. Be sure and stay up to date on all Royal Family News and return here often for more news and updates.
