The Calm Before the Storm
The January 15, 2020, visit to Bradford occurred at a focal point for the Cambridges as well as the wider Royal Family. This was not long after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they would be stepping down as working royals.
Royal fans may recall that it was just three days hence, on January 18, that Buckingham Palace made the announcement that Harry and Meghan would no longer be working royals or use their HRH designations.
The Bradford visit was also memorable as the last public appearances the Cambridges would make before the COVID-19 pandemic would lock the world down. While the couple was there, they also met with area employers and leaders regarding youth employment and community initiatives.
