Royal Family News: Meghan Markle’s Brother Comments on Bellicose Biographer
Royal Family news reveals that Meghan Markle’s half-brother got behind the biographer whose book was described by The Times as “so relentless you begin to feel sorry for the Duchess of Sussex.” Read on and we’ll discuss what the Duchess of Sussex’s brother had to say of the bellicose biographer.
Controversial Claims Disputed
Royal Family news reveals that Royal Biographer Tom Bower’s book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, controversially claimed that Her Majesty the Queen was relieved that the 40-year-old Duchess of Sussex didn’t show up at Prince Phillip’s funeral.
The book also claimed that Markle made Kate Middleton cry. Of course, this claim is one that Markle told talk show host Oprah Winfrey was false, according to Newsweek.
Regarding the claims made in the book, The Times Culture Twitter account wrote, “Meghan has curated some of her past to fit her future, spinning the good, excising the unsuitable. Up against Tom Bower, her controlled and carefully burnished image does not survive beyond page five.”
Meghan Markle’s Brother Begs to Differ
Speaking in an installment of GB News, Markle’s half-brother Tom Markle Jr. endorsed the book. Speaking to host Dan Wootton Merkel Jr. Said that he had read excerpts from Revenge, adding, “Tom Bower—I think you did a fantastic spot on job.”
The praise comes just in time after reviewer Melanie Reid wrote in the Times of the book, “This 400-page long demolition job is so relentless you begin to feel sorry for the Duchess of Sussex,” adding, “up against Tom Bower, a biographer famous for unauthorized skewerings of the famous, [Meghan’s] controlled and carefully burnished image does not survive beyond page five.
She continued, “his book depicts Meghan as a merciless opportunist who found in Harry the perfect vehicle for personal advancement, and in doing so caused irreversible damage to a thousand-year-old monarchy.”
Markle Sr. Recovering from Stroke
Markle also used the opportunity to address his father Thomas Markle Sr’s stroke recovery, saying that his father was “making incredible progress every day” since earlier in 2022. He also mentioned that his father was on his way to getting his voice back after losing it due to the stroke.
“Dad is doing amazing. There’s a lot of work to do but every single day is just another milestone progression all the way in the right direction, which is ultimate recovery on everything. He’s doing fantastic. His mind is all there. We’re just making incredible progress every day.”
Markle has heard nothing at all from his daughter since his stroke and, when asked about it, Markle Jr. Said, “Dad’s okay with it. Of course, he’s sad because it’s his daughter,” adding, “It does bother him continuously, but he gets through it.” Be sure and stay up to date on all Royal Family news and return here often for more news and updates.
