Royal Family news reveals that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are at it again with the coming release of another docuseries on Netflix. The new project was reportedly inspired by the Nelson Mandela seven-episode series Live to Lead’ and premiers December 31. Read on and we’ll fill you in on the details.

Royal Family news reveals that, according to MARCA, the streaming giant announced the launch of the new series on their Twitter account barely weeks after the release of “Harry & Meghan”. The tweet reads: “Their voices give us hope. Their actions shape our world. Their leadership inspires our future.

“Live To Lead – a documentary series presented by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – premieres December 31.”

Interviews with Prominent Subjects

Netflix said the series will include interviews with numerous prominent figures such as New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, late US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and South African rugby player Siya Kolisi.

Appearing in a trailer for the project, Prince Harry says, “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela, who once said, ‘What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived.’” Then Meghan takes the baton, saying, “It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Docuseries to Feature People who Made Brave Choices

PEOPLE reports that the series will feature leaders and activists reflecting on their legacies and sharing messages of courage, compassion, humility, and hope. The docuseries will also feature climate change activist Greta Thunberg, social justice attorney and advocate Bryan Stevenson, feminist activist Gloria Steinem, and anti-apartheid activist and former Justice of the Constitutional Court of South Africa Albie Sachs.

In the trailer, we hear Harry say, “It’s about people who have made brave choices,” before Markle adds, “To fight for change and to become leaders.” Harry continues, “And giving inspiration to the rest of us. To live, to lead.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix Ventures

The Royal couple’s first Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan” dropped on Netflix and made history as Netflix’s largest documentary debut – ever – with 81.55 million viewing hours. In the series, Harry and Meghan described their love story, their subsequent time as working members of the Royal Family, and their eventual departure from the Royal Family as well as the UK.

Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, first inked the Netflix deal in September 2020. At the time The New York Times revealed that the royal couple’s production company, which was later dubbed Archewell Productions would create documentaries, docuseries, feature films scripted shows, and children’s programming for the streaming mega-giant.
