Royal Family News: Sussexes to Visit Favorite UK Charities
Royal Family New reveals that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip to the UK next month may fly in the face of the royal’s original agreement after stepping down as working royals back in 2020. Cosmopolitan reports that the slate of appearances planned for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle next month seem an awful lot like royal engagements.
The trip centers around work with some of the Sussex’s favorite charities based in the UK. “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September,” a Sussex spokesperson explained about the upcoming trip.
Key People Concerned Sussex’s Violating Agreement
What won’t reportedly be on the Sussex’s agenda for this trip will be visiting with Royal Family members including the prince’s brother Prince William and father Prince Charles. The two royals are still “treating Harry with caution” prior to the release of his memoir later this year.
Even though an earlier article by the Daily Beast made it seem as if the Royal family had no problem with their coming trip, a new report from the outlet is suggesting that tensions are rising in royal circles. Some are inferring that the Sussex’s planned trip violates their agreement with the Queen regarding post-Megxit behavior
“The chutzpah of those two is unreal,” a former Buckingham Palace staffer said in a follow-up Daily Beast article. “Their proposal for being hybrid working royals was comprehensively rejected [at the Sandringham Summit], but it looks like they are just going ahead and doing it anyway.”
Trip Expected to be High Profile
According to Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe, a trip centered around Harry and Meghan’s favorite charities could very likely get under the skin of many royals. Larcombe explained to the Beast, “To the casual observer, especially overseas and even more especially in America, this will look like Harry and Meghan are back doing royal jobs, especially given that one of the gigs Harry is doing is the WellChild awards for sick children, which he always used to do when he actually was a working royal.
“It will be incredibly high-profile. They will be all over the media, and you won’t be able to put a cigarette paper between what Harry and Meghan are doing and what Will and Kate are doing. It’s a calculated provocation on their part. They are seriously pushing their luck and risking the wrath of the queen.”
Sussexes Not Likely to Stop
As royals fans know, when Harry and Meghan made the decision to withdraw from their roles as working royals, they made it clear, at that time, that they desired to continue working for the royal family – but part-time. Of course, the Queen shut down that idea, according to Cosmo, inferring that trying to work as a part-time royal was just too messy.
In a transition plan laid out on the Sussex Royal website in the Spring of 2020, Harry and Meghan explained, “The preference of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex was to continue to represent and support Her Majesty the Queen albeit in a more limited capacity.”

Giving into this debacle of a mess if they get anything, and I mean one little bit of something other than agreed to Meghan would have won. She will hold that against the royals until her dying day. She came into this relationship with wanting to control and get her way from the get go Too bad Diana was not still here as she would have seen right thru this one. Harry will not go against his wife because of their children. He will not let them grow up without being there as he is the father, not like Charles did to the boys. He is so angry over that because his mother was “kicked to the curb” That is something he will never let go of. Meghan’s chance to step in and become the accepted princess of getting her way will not work Just look at Harry’s always His are of a broken man and hers are of a scathing woman. Meghan dear you will never win and I am glad of that
