Royal Family News: Ready for Netflix’s Harry & Meghan to Take Aim at the Royal Family in Round 2?
Royal Family news reveals that, on Monday, Netflix released the new trailer for the final three installments of Harry & Meghan, and in it, we see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to berate the British media. Read on and we’ll give you the low down.
Royal Family News: They Were Happy to Protect my Brother
Royal Family news reveals that, according to Vanity Fair, the teaser clip, posted on Netflix’s YouTube channel, shows Harry complaining that he and his brother Prince William received different treatment from the media. “They were happy to lie to protect my brother,” the Spare author says. “They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”
The prince describes what he and Meghan endured as “institutional gaslighting,” which may well be a sign of what is to come. Unlike the first three episodes of the much-anticipated docuseries, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex avoided going after members of the Royal Family directly, the new installment of episodes, due out Thursday morning, may very well lay some of the blame on the monarchy for the couple’s rocky royal exit in early 2020.
Tyler Perry Features in Harry & Meghan
The trailer touches on what happened in March of 2020 when the duke and duchess left their temporary home on Canada’s Vancouver Island and headed to Los Angeles prior to the borders closing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. “I wonder what would have happened to us had we not gotten out when we did,” Harry ponders, before Markle adds, “Our security was being pulled. Everyone in the world knew where we were.”
Film director and entertainment mogul Tyler Perry can be seen in the trailer as well. “They just wanted to be free,” he said, “They wanted to be free to love and be happy. I applauded that.” In their March 2021 bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview the duke and duchess told the billionaire talk show host that Perry had loaned them his private jet to stay in his Los Angeles home. Earlier this year, Perry opened up about his support for the couple in a September 2021 interview with NBC’s Today Show.
Bot Sentinel CEO Bouzy Weighs In
The new trailer features video footage of Harry on Perry’s jet in 2020, calling it “the freedom flight.” There is also an appearance by Bot Sentinel CEO, Christopher Bouzy. Readers may recall that Bot Sentinel analyzes online misinformation as well as disinformation attacks.
“They were actively recruiting people to disseminate disinformation,” Bouzy can be heard saying in the clip, that it is unclear at this point who he was referencing. In 2021 Bot Sentinel released a report that documented a coordinated harassment campaign against the Sussex’s that found 70 percent of the negative tweets came from just 83 accounts whose main purpose appeared to be gossiping about the royal couple.
