Royal Family News: The Firm to Rally Behind Kate Middleton in Wake of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan
Royal Family news reveals that a few in the royal family are planning to lend support to Kate Middleton at an event that happens to fall on the same day Netflix’s ‘Harry & Meghan’ is set to release its final episodes. Read on and we’ll give you the low down.
Royal Family News: Tale of Two Events
Royal Family news reveals that, according to The Daily Record, the two equally important events for different royal family members are set to hit the public on the same day. However, there are those in the Royal Family that are prepared to get behind Kate Middleton on her special day.
The first installment of Netflix’s Harry & Meghan will hit the small screen on Thursday; however, the final package will be released the following week – and that’s on the exact same day as Kate’s concert (via The Mirror).
Prince Harry Claims Royals Plant Stories in The News
Two previews have been released and royal fans the world over are working into a frenzy. In the latest teaser, the Sussexes discuss the Royal Family hierarchy. The discussion shows Prince Harry imply that stories are “planted” in the press by The Firm.
In the second clip, Harry says, “There’s a hierarchy of the family. You know, there’s leaking but there’s also planting of stories. It’s a dirty game.”
Harry & Meghan Snubbed by Senior Royals
Royal watchers may recall that it was confirmed weeks ago that Kate Middleton, now Princess of Wales, would be holding a second service at Westminster Abbey in which a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II will feature.
William and Kate won’t be watching Harry & Meghan at all, according to BAZAAR, as they’ve decided not to. Of course, their lawyers will be keeping a close eye on each episode.
On the night the final episodes are released, however, King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, and Prince William will be rallying behind the Princess of Wales at her carol concert.
The Values Her Majesty Demonstrated
It is expected that the carol service will be dedicated to the late Queen and “the values Her Majesty demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion, and support for others”. In the statement, Kensington Palace said “These principles are shared and personified by the inspirational guests who have been invited to the Abbey in recognition of their tireless work to help and care for those around them.”
The event is in its second year and, according to Glamour, will be particularly significant in that the Princess of Wales is spearheading it – as a solo initiative.
