Royal Family News: Tyler Perry Gives Update on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Royal Family news reveals that Tyler Perry, a close friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, recently gave an update, from his perspective, on how the Sussexes are doing. Continue reading and we’ll fill you in on the details.
Royal Family News: Sussexes Got Close to Perry
Royal Family news reveals that, according to ELLE, when the Sussexes stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US in 2020, Meghan, Harry, and son Archie stayed in one of Perry’s homes in Southern California.
This was reportedly at a time when the new family was struggling with the coronavirus pandemic as well as the loss of the security services they once had while at Buckingham Palace. It was not until some time later that they moved into their own estate in Montecito.
Recently, the actor, director, and producer opened up about Markle, sharing an update on how she and her growing family are doing.
Tyler Perry Sends Birthday Wishes
Perry recently shared a photo on Instagram of the Duchess of Sussex during a visit to a non-profit in Africa back in 2019. He captioned the photo with, “I’ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years.
“I’ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people. I’m so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now. It fills me with joy to say Happy Birthday Princess Meghan.”
According to Page Six, the actor may have been referencing the duchess’s recent tangles with the media after joining the Royal Family. She revealed in 2020 that she had even contemplated committing suicide after being the subject of such relentless media coverage, especially in the UK.
Perry Aided Markle when Royal Family Failed
Meghan Markle spoke, in her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, about how close she and Harry had come to Perry since walking away from the British Monarchy. “We didn’t have a plan,” she said at the time, adding that the invitation to live in Perry’s home “gave us breathing room to try to figure out what we were going to do.”
The family now lives in a $14 million home in Monticello, California with their two kids Archie, 3, and 1-year-old Lilibet. And, though the family has had its issues with the Monarchy, Markle did recently receive birthday wishes from other members of the royal family. The Cambridges said, “Wishing a happy birthday to the Duchess of Sussex!”
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, also wished her a happy birthday, adding a balloon emoji at the end of the message according to Vanity Fair. Be sure and stay up to date on all Royal Family news and return here often for more news and updates.
