Royal Family News: First Sister Fully Expects Reelection Run for Joe Biden
The First Sister’s comments come after the release of her new book “Growing Up Biden” which chronicles her childhood with her brother Joe who ultimately became the 46th POTUS in 2021. Valerie said she fully expects her brother to run reelection in 2024.
Royals fans may recall that, after Meghan Markle stepped down as a working royal, along with her husband Prince Harry, in 2020, reports began making rounds that the duchess could have her sights set on a future in American politics.
Royal Family News: Markle ‘Welcome to Join the Democratic Party’
Biden Owens, who is a political strategist and adviser in her own right, told Good Morning Britain of Meghan’s recent political inquiries, “It’s wonderful to have women in politics.”
Continuing, the First Sister said, “the more women we have, the better our democratic system will work with a better point of view, a different point of view and we embrace all women.
“We welcome [Meghan] to come in and join the Democratic Party.”
When the host asked Biden Owens if the duchess would make “a good candidate one day maybe for president” she responded, saying, “Yes, perhaps. Of course, she will.” Both Harry and Meghan have received criticism for involvement in American politics, despite that fact that there is no credible evidence they have done anything in that respect.
Royal Family News: Sussexes Accused of Encouraging Americans to Vote
In September 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accused, by a Republican lawmaker, of “interfering” in the presidential election by encouraging Americans to register to vote. The so-called interference came in the form of a clip for Time 100 which lists the most influential people in the world each year.
Along with encouraging Americans to vote, the Sussexes warned against hate speech and misinformation. Donald Trump said of the clip, “not a fan” of the duchess, and “I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he’s going to need it.” Be sure and stay up to date on all Royal family News and return here often for more spoilers, news, And updates.
