The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are Hiring! See Details
It’s that time of year again, and no, I’m not talking about Christmas (even though I was thinking it). Prince William and Kate Middleton are looking for a new member to join their team at Kensington Palace for a communications role. If you know them better than they know about themselves online, then here’s a little secret, the job could be yours.
Kate Middleton and Prince William Seek a Social Media Pro to Manage Their Official Online Channels
The job was listed on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s website late last week and was titled as “Digital Communications Officer”.
Basically, the job requires the ideal candidate to be able to manage all of the family’s social media channels – Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. You’ll be working on improving their Digital Lead, generating social posts, curating their feeds, along with improving the information they want to share with the public regarding up-to-date news about the Cambridges and their children.
Among the job perks are traveling with the couple on overseas trips, capturing their videos, pictures, and moments, much like Kate loves to do. The Duchess is an amateur photographer and has notably been the one behind the camera during some of her family’s adorable pictures.
Her photography project, “Hold Still”, which highlighted Britain during the coronavirus lockdown, was a success.
The candidate they’ll hire will be charged with managing communications across all of the Duke and Duchess’ charitable organizations as well, but this is not for someone without prior work experience in the field. If you’re new to the digital communications space, you probably should give the job a pass.
The job will likely include many perks, including the big one that involves getting to work directly with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. You’ll also have to master some James Bond tight-lipped action, because the job requires you to have the “ability to handle sensitive information with tact and discretion at all times.” Yeah, royal work is not all flash and dazzle, important people from all over the world and information will likely drift your way.
The job description also highlights the importance of the applicant understanding diversity in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and across the world, not just in the obligatory equal opportunity disclaimer.
If it sounds like something you’ll love and you’ve got the credentials, then do apply on the Royal Household website. If you get the job, send us a message and we’ll love to celebrate with you.
