Royal Family News: Prince Harry’s Busy Sans Meghan Markle
Royal Family news reveals that, according to MARCA, the Sussexes make it pretty clear that they want the world to view them as more casual than everyday people. Prince Harry has reportedly been traveling to a lot of places as of late, criticizing the royal family in interviews with Anderson Cooper and Michael Strahan as he promoted his explosive memoir, Spare (via Radar Online).
However, while the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex often brings up his wife of four years, the 41-year-old has been noticeably absent from this tour leaving some to wonder where the duchess is.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Evolving Strategy
It hasn’t always been the Sussex’s strategy. For example, Radar Online reported that in the couple’s 2021 bombshell interview, the prince showed up in shorts and t-shirt to discuss the plumbing while a reporter for The Cut chatted up Meghan at the couple’s $14.65 million Montecito, California home in which they’re raising Archie, 3, and 18-month-old Lilibet.
And again, in the Suit’s alum’s 40th birthday video for Archewell Foundation, Harry can be spotted juggling outside. An insider revealed that “Harry is very protective of Meghan and supports her in everything she does. They emphasized, “it’s very important to them that people see that.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Show Casual Side
The Sussexes also apparently want to be seen as anything but royal. Contrary to Harry’s somewhat frowsty dad, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton, the Sussexes present a more approachable side of the Royal Family.
In fact, in the couple’s three-part Netflix Docuseries Harry & Meghan, the reluctantly royal couple can be seen kissing in their kitchen, playing ball, and even doing yoga – things you might never get to see another royal doing in a natural setting. “They want to be seen as this normal California couple who are just like us,” a source said. “They may have come from different worlds, but they walk around the house barefoot, laugh, and are silly.”
Prince Harry Wants to be Taken Seriously!
But now, Harry seems to want to be taken seriously, the source said. “Harry wants to come across as self-confident and self-motivated and not merely controlled by his wife, as some have accused them of. It was agreed that Meghan would only be a distraction if she were constantly by his side during the press tour.”
